I have been making a ton of cups because I'm starting new work. I use the cups to help me figure out the kind of work, content, form, etc... I want to implement.
You know I love christmas!!
This cup is not actually tilted... whoops!!

This film was made by one of my students, who is now running a successful graphics company. Kyle made all of the skateboards out of clay and had his crew break them. The fragility of the material or the time invested in building the skateboards was inconsequential to the process of breaking them.
I have been making a bunch of "sketch" cups that are kind of elaborate in their execution, but fun to make! They are carved, inlaid with color and then glazed.
I have been making these pieces that are references to totems. I am still hashing it out, but I like where it's going.
I have been making these porcelain cups for the last few years. I treat them like little sketches; I am sort of obsessed with making them. Just click on the image and the next on will pop up.
I have loaded and fired over 100 kilns this semester; someone is tired.
I am participrating in Kiln.edu with one of my students, Cory Irwin, who was selected as part of the student portion of the show. Yay Cory!!
